My pregnancy with Holden was an uncomplicated one. Though it did take several months to get pregnant due to an undiagnosed hypothyroid, once I started synthroid we were pregnant within 2 weeks. I never had any severe morning sickness, no abnormal bleeding, all labs were normal, ultrasounds were normal, there was nothing out of the ordinary. Due to my past two deliveries being classic c-sections, I had a scheduled c-section at 37 weeks. Holden was born into the world on March 19th 2015. He was 18 inches long and 6 lbs 15 ounces. He went to the NICU for a couple hours immediately after delivery due to needing some supplemental oxygen but that was it. The first time I saw him I thought something was wrong. Nothing crazy, I just thought he was a dwarf because to me, his legs looked too short for his body. But no one else felt the same. He passed all of his newborn screening and we took him home as expected. He was a quiet baby, sleepy, and never really babbled. But we just thought we were lucky to have such a quiet little guy.
